Mother/Daughter team of jewelry and bead makers. All the jewelry is hand made, as is many of the lampwork and clay beads that are used. We have taken several jewelry classes at the Pullen Arts center in Raleigh as well as at various bead shows in North Carolina and Florida.
For lampwork training we attended the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in Georgia two summers, taking both the beginning and advanced lampworking sessions.
Melissa specializes in glass and clay figures (frogs, cows, pigs, bees, ladybugs, hot fudge sundaes, …). She also makes multi-layer aquarium beads. At Christmas and Halloween she has a variety of clay earrings and pendants in holiday themes.
Mom's lampworking focus is on fish, shells, and beach themed landscape beads, as well as beads traditionally shaped beads in a variety of colors. She also has necklaces and bracelets stitched in intricate bead designs.
